Hacking for Equality

From baltimorevacants.orgOn June 1 and 2, Baltimore-area programmers "hacked for change" during the National Day of Civic Hacking. And some of them were "seeing inequality," according to this report from frequent Maryland Morning guest and Technically Baltimore reporter Andrew Zaleski.

One map shows Baltimore's free transportation lines laid over the locations of services for the homeless.

Another maps Baltimore's vacant houses, and provides neighborhood-level socioeconomic data from the Baltimore Neighborhood Indicators Alliance.
